A Gear Site with a Fresh Focus

Let’s say you have something in mind that you want to buy. Maybe it’s an anniversary gift for your spouse, a Christmas gift for your dad, or something for yourself that you’ve been looking forward to for a while. Being the informed consumer you are, you don’t want to just buy the first thing you see or ad you’re served. Maybe you know the usual options or what you have seen people get on the internet but you aren’t sure if it’s the right fit for your situation. You do your research, read reviews, ask friends, and finally come to a decision.

Everyone wants to make sure they are making the best buying decision. At one point or another, everyone has had buyer’s remorse or made an impulse decision that they regret buying and that thing sits in a corner collecting dust or goes to Goodwill after years in the back of the closet.

You know you want __x__ but not sure which one. You find an article “The 11 best __Xs__ for __y__.” You look through their list, find a couple that catch your eye and you leave that site to go look at reviews or what other people are saying because you aren’t taking one writer’s opinion as the truth. This is an important decision, you want to get it right. So you watch YouTube videos reviewing it, read reviews on Amazon, find a random blog post on it, check the price everywhere you can find it, and finally – the decision is made.

Now, this is all a part of the customer journey of someone who doesn’t just click “buy now” on the first ad they see – but from the time of intention to buy to the purchase being made, you have visited 5 different websites and spent your precious time doing the leg work to make sure it fits your needs.

Gear Counsel is all about doing that leg work for you and bringing the best advice (or counsel) to your purchase decisions.

That doesn’t mean buying the next ___ that will be gone next month but making purposeful decisions on things to incrementally improve your everyday life.

No cars, watches, or things you would (or should) never make a buying decisions from a gear blog. This is focused around in-depth [research] into a certain topic, how it benefits your life to have one, the best few options, and all the resources you need to make sure it’s what you want – all in one place that you hopefully find helpful and informative.
